I have never made art consistently throughout my life, aside from 50+ poems I have written throughout the years in my online journal. But recently I was in my garage and I spilled a chemical by accident, which isn't normal for me. The bottle was stuck on something then fell on the floor. The garage door was open so I decided to leaf blow it out a bit before wiping it. Low and behold, some strange vein like patterns came out. At that moment I knew I had to put this on a canvas. So I went to buy some 16x20 canvas panels and some paint. I taped the canvas at the back onto some painters plastic and poured the paint and hit it with the leaf blower. The rest is history in the making!
Since the day I started this project recently, I knew I had to try my best to make this work. I also just kind of went with my instincts and put colors together that I thought would look good. Obviously, I am familiar with the basics of art (don't mix colors until they turn brown) but I also did some research by watching documentaries and art history videos on streaming services to get an idea of what colors go well together. I also have developed a lot of tricks and different techniques with the leaf blower to create amazing unique pieces. Always emulated, but never duplicated. This is the power of the leaf blower. Every piece is unique. I strive to make new color combinations and develop new techniques every time I making new art. Of course I have my bread and butter styles, but I really do strive to grow and evolve and take advantage of my unique painting tool/ability.
I am very grateful that in these times I have had the opportunity to create something incredible and magnificent although it feels like time is running out. Thank you for taking the time to read about my story and I hope you continue to follow me on this journey. We are in this together and I will never give up hope. I will make as many paintings as I can until I cannot. To be able to make and frame over 24 paintings and 5 large canvas paintings that are beautiful and wonderful is such a great achievement for me. I am truly blessed to have a natural ability to make art that stands out. That is vibrant, mystical, brave, and stunning. I will always make art with my leaf blower, and maybe other tools in the future. Until then, enjoy the ride and let's make history together! Thank you!
